For all of you ornithologists out there, a pair of Northern Lapwings have moved into the field behind us:



They spent an hour earlier attacking a young crow and have spent the rest of the afternoon mooching around in the field. Hope they move on though, there's a fox den at the top of that field.

Where in Lincs are you? They're relatively common down by the Wash, of course.

We've got both lapwings and avocets nesting on the marsh near me, but I'm waiting to see the spoonbills return this year, still.
