We have a rat who is around eight months old. We've noticed an possible issue with her breathing, and know that they can have issues with breathing.

It only appears to be done when shes happy though. Either playing in her cage/hall way or dosing in her hammock.

I'm just wondering if anyone has rats and able to give some advice? The fact it's not always and only when she's playing makes me think it's not anything to be worried about, but want to make sure.

Waiting for a phone call from the vets to see if they want us to pop down with her.

Mine never did that, I hope the vet says he is OK.
Brilliant little animals, and great family pets.

Vets have said it's not an emergency and got an appointment for Tuesday afternoon.

It could be she doesn't like her bedding or has an infection.

They are brilliant pets. Our two are a bit odd but love them!
