I think we might have to keep our foster hound
Discussion
Our Eric on the right and Betty, formerly known as Crumpet on the left. Our local branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust put out a call for existing owners to foster another dog or two to clear the kennels for overspill from other branches. I had a kind of plan to take on another hound anyway after this rubbish has passed - basic reassessment of what's important kind of decision. She's a couple of years younger than Eric and a very different character. Seems to have settled in well and she's been to two different supposedly forever homes and been returned so I reckon we owe her a settled forever home...
PH- one reason why I'd not foster, as Swimbo is not a dog person, but they do get to her. It's a year since we re homed a scared little terrier that wanted to make friends ,but had problems taking to folks. Visit two, Lexi jumped on Swimbo's knee and nuzzled Swimbo and I knew lexi was her choice. These days it's mince /chicken and occasionally ,when she's hungry , Wainwrights 7+ dog food. Totally spoilt, but when in park with bikes around she knows that my knee on the scooter is a safe place.

She looks anxious and petrified to me! Look at that defensive posture!
Is she an ex-racer? Do they still have ear tattoos?
Yes and yes. Her racing name was Clondoty Sally. Right ear has PX, Left ear has HXX. She ran 125 races, mostly at Monmore Green (Wolverhampton, our nearest track and a few early on at Perry Barr (North Birmingham, not too far away) 24 wins and 10 second places, so never set the world alight but not too shabby. Eric also raced, also nearly always at Monmore. 16 wins and 9 seconds. Is she an ex-racer? Do they still have ear tattoos?
