I'm not a vet by a long way, but with the worming its more important if they hunt. Indoor cats in theory are less exposed.

Depends if you intend for the cat to be in a Cattery any time soon?

My mother had a ginger tom that never once had a jab and he lived until he was 18. My two get done every year because we put them in Cattery when we go on holiday. If you cat is likely to come into contact with any feral cats, then it might be a good idea, but if it's gone this long, you might think 'what's the point?' It will require two jabs four weeks apart because it's immunity wil have long ceased to be effective.

I'd be more concerned that your cat is missing the other one if they lived together. Or were they two very independent animals?

In answer to your question, it's largely up to you.

Nothing to add to what Tyre Smoke said, except sorry to read this.

The dogs are likely to be sensitive to the split

Good luck

I've kept both dogs, they're fine.

Yes, my little girl cat is missing her feline friend, more than I thought she would. Apparently he's settling Ok in his new home but then he's getting loads more attention than he's been used to!

She is now being wormed, it's the vaccinations I need to decide on, Vets have advised we need to start from scratch, 2 injections 3 weeks apart at £65.00. Annual booster about £47. Can't do anything until this virus malarkey goes away anyway. She's never going to go in to a cattery.

After 8yrs I am tempted to continue to wing it, spoke to the insurers & they said no problem but they won't cover any condition she would've been vaccinated against - fair enough.
