So after the speech by Boris tonight are pet shops deemed essential? Can they open?
The supermarkets sell pretty limited stock of pet food and it's usually crap.

I had a mail from Pets at Home saying they are staying open. Pre Boris speech though. I usually snap up the bargains for the dietary food we need for the puss and pick up but will try home delivery next.

Missus has horses, hasn't got enough feed for 3+ weeks.. Hopefully the horse suppliers are open tomorrow, will have to stock up - just incase.

IMO, it's an essential.

Following tonights Government announcement we wish to clarify that as a "pet shop" we are deemed an essential shop.
Hence the shop remains open ( we will practice social distancing and limit like we have done the number of customers to no more than 3 at anyone time in the shop).
The couriers are still collecting and delivering and thus orders will still be shipped.

Stay safe, heed the advice, if you can order online please do so. We will do everything we can to help all our customers through this very difficult time for our country.
Good for Fishkeeepers, so must be fine for all pet shops ?

Ours is closing due to its location inside a garden centre. They are doing a collection service only instead which is handy.

Our vets have about 5 branches. They have fully closed all but one which is their main hospital and that is only open to emergencies at the moment
