This. I tried just about everything when my cat got a bad dose of frontline resistant fleas a few years ago. They just fell off him within a couple of days and disrupted the lifecycle of the little fkers that had colonised the house. It also deals with heartworm and lungworm.
Stronghold plus. Worked within a few days and have seen no sign of fleas since treating my 2 cats once back at the start of November.
The previous stuff from the vets was absolute crap, didn't even clear them for a week, can't remember what that was but they had loads of complaints so changed to this stronghold stuff.

Raw meat and bones seems to keep them pretty much flea and tick free. Get the odd tick on their faces when they stick their faces into bushes and shrubs etc
What’s the theory there then?I only have my little Jack Russell now and she rarely picks up fleas but you sure as hell know if she does as she’s a real scratcher/fusser. Ring small and white I can also locate them pretty easy.
When I used to have cats, they seemed to always get fleas and pleased the ex took those with her. I get a lot of hedgehogs here and the cats would always be buggering about with them. When you look at the hedgehogs they’re covered in fleas!
I do a lot of rabbit shooting and again, they seem to all be crawling in fleas. Get a powerful torch on their face at night and they’re alive with them!

This looks like an American site. The info is useful. However in the UK as long as you buy from a British based Website with the VMD stamp it is highly unlikely to be a fake product. If you try and buy from overseas this increases the risk of fake goods (just like human pharmaceuticals) and also means facing criminal charges if caught importing them.
I used to use Frontline pump spray on all my dogs and ferrets until vets became even more arsey and stopped selling it. I would now have to take one animal in for an inspection to get frontline to treat a number of animals.
Best bit it they don't care what one I bring in, and whether they have fleas or not.
Arses.

Not arsey just following legal requirements as the spray is a POM-V product. They px it for the animal you brought in only but they can't stop you using it on other pets in your care once you have bought iit.Best bit it they don't care what one I bring in, and whether they have fleas or not.

Advocate doesn't do ticks. (fleas, mange, heartworm and lungworm)Advantix does fleas and ticks (but not heartworm or lungworm)
I use Nexgard Spectra (when I remember to sort a prescription for it!)
I've never heard of Nexgard - is it new?

Chewble tablet so easy to give. Just need to do a tapeworm tanlet every 6 months if you want to as it doesn't cover tapeworm.
The practice I locum at (and was employed at for years) uses it and I trust them.
Advantix spot on will do the job re just fleas and ticks though.
