Spotted today when walking the dog, big bugger. Did have a partner in another tree but that took flight before I could get another photo. Bit of googling suggests it maybe a red kite ?
Bugger dont why that's the wrong way

Not around here. They lurk in the trees near my house, and I sometimes have them wandering around on my lawn. Didn't realise that they'd got as far as East Anglia though.

Red kites spotted here too, Warwickshire/Glouc border. Not sure if they're coming up from the Chilterns or across from Wales.

We've had a nesting pair for the last 2 years (Berkshire). Does surprise visitors when they see two of them on the bird table. And the contents of our bird table occasionally looks like a slaughterhouse.

We have six dotted around the village, often see them in trees like that, they often stay in a really high conifer and I see crows dive bombing them.

In summer one swooped down and seemed to have a good look at one of our cats in the garden (she is tiny) but it wasn’t interested in her to come all that close.

We get lots here (south west Wales). It's amazing watching them just circling and gliding, love seeing them.

There was a breeding program I believe somewhere on the m40 corridor. That why you’ll see lots near there. We see them everyday above our house in Hertfordshire. Wonderful birds.

There are a lot in the Henley/South Oxfordshire area to the extent that they are almost common.

Original re introduction was based at Xmas Common, on top of the hill - very close to to the tower you see on the side of the M40 ner Stockenchurch,

Quite possbily one of the most succesful reintroductions done in this country.

A few years ago I followed one along a country lane near Grantham so they'll surely be in Notts by now. Also have seen them at Melton Mobray.

Ever had one abandon some hard shoulder roadkill and swoop up in front of your car? Thought the bloody thing was going to hit the windscreen, they’re not small!

Seen regularly around Carrington Moss / Dunham Massey as well. Can be a bit distracting watching them glide when you're driving.
