Where can I get pet friendly carpet cleaner fluid?

We need to clean our carpets. A neighbour is going to lend us a carpet cleaner but first we need to purchase a carpet cleaning fluid for it which is safe for our cats. The only one we can find is in the US. We ordered it over a month ago but it hasn't arrived, despite supposedly having cleared UK customs nearly four weeks ago, so I've raised a dispute with PayPal and am now on the hunt again. Can anyone recommend anything?

B&Q do a pet one for use with their hire machines (although I'm sure it works with any cleaner). It's not cheap, £12.99 I think, but it's alleged to dissolve animal enzymes and such.

Alternatively I was told that a biological detergent works well too (in respect of getting rid of the animal-y stuff which attracts them back to the same spot).

It's not so much that we want an emphasis on removing pet-related contamination, more that we want something that won't poison our cats.

We've used HSS's own carpet cleaning fluid until we realised the Screwfix stuff was much cheaper. Used it multiple times and our cats didn't die.

Never even thought about it, to be honest. Cats seem quite hardy.

The Q&A for the Screwfix stuff says it's pet-safe once it's dried.

Never even considered it. They're not drinking it from the bottle. I think I may be a bad cat dad now.

I always just used the basic Vax solution with my Vax machine (I had dogs).

I have a Vax carpet cleaner. I use the Vax Platinum carpet shampoo. I have a cat. No issues.
