Following my thread about the loss of Honey on the thread Runny kitten tummies I am considering insuring my cats as I haven't before.

My cats are not outdoor free roaming cats and it seems most cat insurance premiums are loaded due to the risk of the cat being run over and how much that potentially could cost, something my cats are not at risk of.

Anyone know of any insurance companies that you can select indoor only pets so the premium isn't so expensive - I have up to 9 to insure so every penny counts as I want to get good illness cover but not accident.

Is it worth self insuring if there are 9 animals to cover?
(depending on the premiums and excess)
