How much is your cat insurance?

We've got two cats - just bog standard moggies.

Both have now turned 10.

Just had the renewal through from Petplan on the Covered for Life plan.

I now have to pay the excess plus 20% of all vet fees on every claim due to their age.

Total cost for both cats for this year: £599

Seem excessive? About right?

Max claim is £4k per year.

Edit: A quick money supermarket suggests i'm being done over and can get similar cover for at least half price. What am I missing?

If you've found a price-compared level of cover for half the annual premium, I'd be moving over to the new provider immediately!
