Dogs very rarely get hyperthyroidism it is nearly always hypothyroidism.
The most classic symptoms are
Generally lethargic
Weight gain (even with reduced food intake)
Bilateral alopecia often on the flanks (even hair loss on both sides of the body)
Slow heart rate.
The only way to actually diagnose though is through blood testing so you need to see your vet.
