I'm smitten with my kitten.

This is Ella, she's a Bengal cross Maine Coon.

We 'rescued' her in that the seller clearly didn't have a clue. Ella was only being fed twice a day, covered in flea dirt and had chronic ear mite. frown

As such, she was very subdued, underweight and scratching like mad (not sure she would have lasted much longer in that environment). She weighed just 600g when we got her about 10 days ago. She's now 965g and has had two trips to the vet to clean and treat ears and fleas.

She's like a different cat now. All purrs and full of life. Rather satisfying!

Well done for giving her a better life.

It annoys me intensely that people who are unfit or uninterested in having pets, have pets. It's not compulsory!

You'd rightly think so as both breeds are large, it's hard to believe though as she is so tiny now!

Yep, very.

We have been cat less, since about 4 years ago when Jazzy died, the youngest (20) is always going on about getting another.

Thanks for the lovely comments!

Sorry I haven't many good pics as the light is poor by the time I get home from work - will get some soon!

Third trip to the V.E.T. this Thursday to see how her ears are clearing up. All the staff come out to see her because she's so tiny even by their standards... cloud9

(Wife and youngest child keep her company during the day)

Beautiful cat.

It's so rewarding rescuing a cat, some people shouldn't be allowed to have animals.

Rescued this guy, Pea

and his sister Chip who sadly passed after 6 weeks.

They were in my neighbour's farm shed, on death's door as they were abandoned and he didn't feed them.

Lots of hard work and no sleep and 6 months later he's a monster. Wouldn't be without him now.

Report the seller to the RSPCA.

My guess is they knew exactly what they were doing, but were trying to squeeze as much profit as possible out of the deal, rather than feed properly, vet check, vaccinate...

These people make my blood boil.

So what do the experts think to her breeding; more Bengal or more Maine Coon?? smile

Her ears are very Bengal...

Stop posting pictures of cute kittens; I'm being hassled to agree to a kitten (we've had cats in the past) I don't want one (I actually do but we've 3 dogs) and the pictures aren't helping!!
