Dexter has arthritis in his shoulders and now seems to be in his paws as well.
Has anyone used laser treatment and if so how effective was it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi I've had huge success with one of my dogs having laser treatment. He had acute bicep tendonitis, had many cortisone injections over a couple of years which addressed the 'acute' stage and needed painkillers for months - we couldn't get control of the residual inflammation but when he started laser therapy it transformed him. He's had it for 12 months, starting weekly and now on 5 weekly intervals and he's a different dog no longer taking painkillers. I don't know about arthritis but in terms of a 'treatment' its certainly worth considering. You might want to look into seeing an osteopath or chiropractor as there may be referred misalignment or problems caused by him avoiding using the arthritic joints. Your vet should be able to refer you to someone they have worked with smile

I used to use Paracetamol to ease the pain for my old Lurcher. Plenty easy exercise kept him mobile.

Not getting out and about made it worse for him.

Thanks.
I have booked him in for a session and we'll see how we go.
