Bat ID help

Any idea what kind of bat this is?

No real scale, but Im guessing a common Pipistrell.

Definitely not a pip, ears way too big and it’s a bigger bat.

I thought brown long eared to begin with, but the ears don’t appear to meet in the middle

Might help if the photo was the right way up!

Just had a look at my bat book, and Common Long Eared Bat seems closest. Only ever seen one in the flesh - caught by a neighbour's cat and left down the side of our house.

Pipistrells are very small. Sometimes they will take over a blue tit nesting box, and you'll get about 200 in there!

Looks like a brown long-eared bat, an amazing creature! Bats are the only mammals to have mastered flight and oh boy are they masters at it!

Having had another look, its ears do in fact meet in the middle, which confirms brown long eared!
