How to help "grieving" pets ?
Discussion
Hi Folks,
We unfortunately lost one of our two cats last Friday very suddenly - she had quickly become ill and was suffering for advanced liver disease.
Since losing her, our remaining cat really seems to be struggling (they had been together since they were kittens, and never really separated) - she wanders around the house looking for her sister, and howls the whole time we're not making a fuss of her. I assume she's noticed that her sister is now not around and is in "grieving".
We're trying to keep her routine as normal as possible, and obviously giving her lots of attention, but she still seems to be struggling.
Can anyone offer any advice on how best to support her at present ?
Thanks in Advance

We lost one of our 2 cats who had been together since kittens . The surviving one did wonder about calling out for about a week, but we kept her in regular routine and all as normal as possible. After that week she was back to normal like nothings happened and is still her crazy self now . So maybe give it a little bit longer but as said by others maybe just give vet a quick call n explain and see what they say
