One of my many cats has the annoying habit of waking me up at 0500 hrs demanding food.

It's a battle of wills I always lose, as he can whine for longer than I can keep telling him to bugger off.

Now, if I can get him to associate 0500 with a cat feeder opening downstairs, I can get a better night's sleep.

I've had the simple cat mate style before, but the timer on that was always a bit vague, so any suggestions for something a little more sophisticated?

And before anyone suggests it, I don't want to shut him out of the bedroom, all of them are too used to sleeping on the bed, hence having to buy a superking sized bed.....

Probably a bit overkill for what you need but I had one of these for my bunnies, it never missed a beat whilst I used it.

I brought two of these for my cats and still on original duracell batteries even after 18 months of daily use.

Which one is it, as a matter of interest? I'm guessing bottom left. Seems more 'at home'.

We use a cat mate one and although not minute accurate we can always get it close enough that he never bothers us in the morning until around 9am (cat mate opens at 7am). The other change we made which made a big difference was feeding him a large meal before we went to bed which seemed to help him sleep through from 10pm ish to 7am.
