Rabbit problem.
Discussion
Hi Guys,
We are currently having difficulties with rabbits and would like some constructive advice. We live on a small cul de sac, with around 25 houses, arranged in terraces and a small block of flats. Someone who lives on the development has a pair of beautiful, tan colored, flop eared, house rabbits. The problem is that, several times a week, over the last 6-7 months, the rabbits have been loose on the road. Most of the time they are out, they are either grazing on the grass verges or hiding under parked cars. It would not be an issue, if it happened only once or twice, as it may be a security problem that the owners struggle with. However, due to the frequency of these incidents, myself and a couple of neighbours suspect that the rabbits are being deliberately let out. As a consequence, we are becoming more concerned for the welfare of the rabbits as a number of people have had close misses when driving up the cul de sac. In addition, they appear to be grazing closer to the main road, so are concerned not only for the rabbits, but for possible danger to drivers taking evasive action on the main road.
What would you do? I don’t know who the owner is or where they live, otherwise I would have a discrete word. Would the RSPCA be interested?
Thanks in advance for any constructive replies.

I think your options are:
Knocking on the door and just offering concern that you saw one of them almost get hit and did they know their rabbits were going out as far as they are.
Write a letter along the same lines and drop it though the door.
If you feel they are not approachable then the RSPCA should be contacted as this is the only way to possibly get an official reaction.
