ID this black duck?

Took this picture by our village pond ( North Bucks) this morning, not seen one of these before

It'll be a domestic breed - possibly a Pomeranian - or hybrid thereof.

I agree with it probably being a domestic duck. Did it have a green tinge to the black feathers? If so it could be a Cayuga. We used to have some when I was a kid; they lay black eggs!
