Dog Tooth extraction, how much bleeding?

Our 10 year old Jack Russell had 6 teeth out today, his first extraction, and they said to expect a little bleeding. How much is too much? He's leaving small drooly blood patches wherever he lies down, but I certainly wouldn't say there's a general flow of blood. Was his back teeth so impossible to see the area.
