St Bernards

Anyone here own one?

They have been perhaps my favourite breed of dog since childhood, but I've never owned one. Had quite a few labradors over the years, and have one now, and we currently work with a labrador rescue charity fostering unwanted labs awaiting homes. But I'd love a Bernard as our next dog.

So, how difficult are they to keep clean and groom, and how bad can their drooling be?

We had one when I was a kid.

One of my jobs was putting covers over all the carpets and furniture every night because of the slobbering.

Also I still have the scars (hand arm and side) from when it turned bad and tried to kill me.
