has been into vets, re -hydrated,now on renal food, still eating like a good un, we have modified a dog crate lower plastic tray for her new litter tray with puppy pads as she has decided by the front door is where she is going rather than her usual tray. which she is using fine. we know that this is irreversible but it their a period of time that we can expect to still have with her, thank you

Not sure how much help this is, but my cat was diagnosed with early stage kidney failure over two years ago now. He drinks like a fish, p*sses for England in the litter tray, but is otherwise the same friend I've known all my life. So yeah, 2.5 years later and although he's obviously not getting better, he doesn't seem to be any worse off at all at the grand old age of 14.

I'd say just treasure every day, and as long as she's not suffering then simply enjoy her company smile

Good friend of mine had a cat with kidney failure, that had fluids at the vets twice a week for nearly 6 years, and eventually passed at the old age of 22 last Friday.
