Autumn cat adventures: MX5 roof basking
Discussion
...So this happened when I went to fetch some stuff out of the car last week. My cat has been discovering the local area, having been mostly a house cat she'd escaped a few times and from the constant meowing, I caved in and recently started letting her outside in the mornings.
Having established a new territory - driving away a white cat and aggressive tabby - my adopted grey cat Sadie decided to climb up onto the roof to bask. The hood is now covered in fine grey hairs, as well as all the other usual seasonal crap and dirt that falls off the large tree seen below. I think she'd realised that sitting here provided her a good vantage point to watch 'her' patch, whilst basking on the soft, dry roof!
When I got inside, she leapt onto the bonnet and proceeded to climb up the windshield to the roof. In a rush to take a photo of her, I got quite lucky and got a shot of her mid - leap, looking ferocious and wild with the tree behind in the deep rich greens and gold of Autumn.
