I made some bug hotels a few weeks ago and having a nose around the garden I found some guests which seem to have sealed themselves in with what looks like leaves but just wondering what they might be?

(Yes ok I'm a bit bored)

Ah we've had a few holes on ours sealed over and I wondered what it was, it buzzes when I tap it too so that probably should have given it away...

If you get a chance to see one cut a bit of leaf and fly off with it its very cool - they seem to be able to fly with something the same size as they are, albeit a bit haphazardly.

Mostly spiders moved into our bug house frown

Yeah I've had spiders, I now poke them out with a stick after finding bits of a bee in their web

I put in our pond and bug hotel about three months ago and we've got a fair few guests now including some leaf cutter Bees. Must the the waterside views that do it!
