Another idiot bulldog owner trying their hardest to get this breed banned:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4378292/Ow...

I hope he's proud of himself allowing his five dogs to roam around a busy street off lead and out of control. What are these people thinking?
We own an Alapaha Blue Blood the same breed that this dxxk own(ed) and they are a large very strong dog that needs treating with respect. She was beaten and strangled by her first owner who thought he could use her as a money making breeding machine. Why people like this are allowed to own these dogs (probably any dog for that matter) is behond me and very sadly it will be a step closer to getting alapahas as well as other types of ABD banned under the dangerous dogs act.
As you probably gathered this is a really touchy subject with me and it infuriates me that people behave like this. Owning a dog should be a privilege.
Rant over.

I fully agree. I have an Old Tyme Bulldog x and it infuriates me when incidents like this happens as all bull breed owners seem to get tarred with the same brush. I saw the footage of this idiot with all of his dogs off lead (before the polce turned up) and it made my blood boil.
I really don't know what the answer is. I would happily pay a dog license fee to have the privelege to own a dog, but many wouldn't bother and then the dogs would be the ones to suffer.

Would love to see some pics of your dog BTW smile

I'm glad it's not just me then...!

While she is fine with other dogs I still avoid taking her to parks etc where I know other dogs will be or certainly not off lead just in case she gets in a tumble. Sadly because of her breed she would potentially be taken regardless who's fault it was. Thankfully we have our own land and surrounding farm land where she can play and socialise with our other dog and local dogs she knows.

Assuming I am allowed I'll give a shameless plug for New Hope Animal Rescue charity from whom we got Roxy ABBB,) our latest Taly (Staff x Ridgeback) and the late Sparky (JR x Beagle). Niall and his team work tirelessly and operate a non destruct policy on all his rescue animals including the bull breeds.

Pics as requested (Any excuse!)

As we got Rox at one:

I've shown this before on here but Rox in full flight:

Beautiful!
I love all breeds but have a massive soft spot for all bully breeds. I lost my staffy last easter just before her 12th birthday and I couldn't bear to be without a dog around the house, so my parents and partner clubbed together and got me Rolo as an early 30th birthday present.

My old lady Dizzy

Rolo when he arrived

Growing up to be quite a handsome chap

Hopefully the pictures will upload ok (newbie here), and hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread and using it to shamelessly post photos smile

Andy your dogs are gorgeous!

We have a Staffy and I would love a ABD, but Im never quite sure on the legalities of keeping them in the UK. Luckily we have a field too so letting them off leads isn't a problem, our Bella spends all day running round a field with the in-laws Rottweiler.

If by ABD you mean an American Bulldog, they're perfectly legal to own in the UK.

These are the banned breeds in the UK:
