A 2 dog family story.
Discussion
My Miniature Schnauzer story.
So once upon a time there was this little girl called Lottie, and Lottie wanted a nice new home to live in.
Lottie is a black and silver and she came home with her new dad
(Lottie killed 4 of these Giraffes but she did love them)
And as Lottie grew up, she became a really beautiful little sod, sorry I meant girl.
And even though she did a few silly things whilst a pup (like trying to jump over an old water wheel ditch and
didn't make it, or tried to get lost going down a drain), her dad still loved her
There was only one down side and that is that Lottie isn't really a dog sort of dog, even though she see's dogs
she just isn't overly enthusiastic about them being near her, so with a heavy heart and lots of thought, I decided
that she needed a friend.... and oh did I have my reservations about getting another Miniature Schnauzer.
But not for the reasons you are thinking, it was like "what if they don't get on?" or "will Lottie still be the
dominant dog in the house?"
This was the first time that I have ever had 2 dogs so there was a lot of thought going into what I needed to look at,
it would mean that I would need a boy (first time i've had one of these as normally have girls) and there would be
no breeding so Lottie would need her op soon.
So when a new litter from the same breeder I bought Lottie from came up, I gave her a call
(sorry for the image quality)
The cheeky little guy on the left was the one that I noticed and he was actually the one I eventually bought
(Lottie is Max's half sister as they have the same father).
Meet Max, the Pepper and Salt Miniature Schnauzer
Now he was first born but didnt want to really know me unless he was on his own where his cheeky and quite adventerous
character came out, quite a lot more confident than Lottie and he was already barking at 6 weeks old (Lottie was about
12 weeks before she became vocal, that sadly hasn't stopped since!).
Now the hard bit was seeing if Lottie would be accepting of the new member of the family
I don't think she was too impressed....
Of course this didn't bother Max at all.
But it didn't mean Lottie ignored him and soon she was being a little more nosey about the new arrival.
But only when he was asleep
Now these 2 are best friends (well when Lottie isn't beating poor Max up that is )
Or is that the other way round?!
Now all these 2 do is play fight, they run themselves ragged which means that once back from their walk, all they do is sleep, which is
bliss for a few hours

This is Max when I went to see him the first time, think he was getting fed up lol
Here he is again, looking as enthusiastic as possible, his pepper and salt sister is in the background (he was 1 of 4, 2 boys and 2 girls).
Think he was just worn out here, lot of running around for a pup
He'd not quite figured out what his poo mats were for....
And before he had figured out that you chase the ball and it squeaked if you bit it....
