Found this little chap hiding from the adults in my Giant Day Gecko viv.

The adult will predate on the young, so they need to be moved out swiftly - as they normally lay pairs of eggs Im guessing number 2 didnt make it.

This little guy is aprox 1 day old here and the adults have had a pop at him, so hes lucky.

This was taken after I caught him and placed him in a pint pot whilst I set up my nursery viv.

This is the second batch of babies from my adults that have hatched in viv.

Sorry Fella! I wish it was, I really do. Miss my dogs so much lately, but the other side of the coin is Im getting to see the world after 15 years, so its a really tough call.

Theres no question that more hounds will be in my life, but just not the immediate future. It really is a double edged sword for me.

The adults eat their own young?? How the hell does the species continue?

Don't apologise, one reason I like "Pets" section of PH is the diversity (I'd never keep a snake or lizard, but find them fascinating)

Because in the jungle, there plenty of hiding spaces ?

I dont think its deliberate - its more of a "thats moving, lets est it first and ask questions later" thing
