Does anyone give their dog this?
It's been recommended to me, but would like some other user / professional reviews (Bex..?)

Also, giving dogs garlic capsules - good or not?

Thanks

I dont use it but supplied it to vets. It is silica harmless really, can be eaten. it can cause silicosis if inhaled thou so take care. I guess you want to use it for fleas, put it on bedding not the dog, and not that effective really on its own. Getting wet will reduce it effortivness.

Garlic is toxic to dogs Dont use it.

Edit just read the article, it is a load of bks where do they get this crap from. DE structure once wet losses all effectiveness against parasites. You feed a dog it will get wet.

These natural dog people really live in cloud cuckoo land.

Cheers
Yes, it was to be used for worm and flea control (not that my dog has fleas - the very thought, what!) instead of chemical stuff like Frontline.

The point about it's ineffectiveness when wet is a good one - dog being naturally attracted to water...

The whole article is codswallop. The structure works by scratching the exocells of animals and causing dehydration and death. Eating has no scientific basis to rid parasites.

I think it is a myth from humans eating it to rid parasites, which some people still do. one thing thou it is a bugger to clear up.
