Below, to your horror, is a photo of Wilson's...ahem...plums. I've noticed, by accident of course, that he has a lump on the right hand one in the picture. Before I call our vet out, does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Haha, I didn't see of the point of describing them when a 'subtle' picture would do!

Depends on all manner of things. How old the dog is, what it feels like etc. Is it connected to the teaticle or is it in the skin? I think if anyone were to give you a diagnosis over the Internet would be a bit irresponsible. Even in consults I wouldn't give a diagnosis. Best thing is to whip them and the skin in this case, and send it all to the lab for histopath.

I quite agree regarding a diagnosis, but thought I'd look for suggestions as to what it could be before I contact the vet. I thought it could've been an insect bite or something.

Get him to the vet. It's not the end of the world if he has to lose them, better than losing him!

Obviously a possibility but would expect a more inflammatory response to it.

Have to agree with Mr Tom. Could be a cyst/spot but could be more worrying. Get him ck"d and go from there.

Thank you people and apologies for the shocking image!!! Wilson is now one year old and has developed nicely, so it may be time to whip 'em off anyway. It might calm him down a bit too as he's quite boisterous and does way too much play biting.

I've asked our vet to take a look and I'll let you know the outcome.

Funnily enough, not so shocking for me!! Canine testicles are a rather everyday sight in my line of work biggrin

It appears the lump on Wilson's testicles is probably a cyst which will sort itself out. The vet says that it's not bothering him, so leave it alone.

Still doesn't mean they're not getting removed soon!
