Spiders!

I live in a big old house deep in the countryside. This no doubt accounts for the flocks, swarms, herds of spiders that live here too.

This morning whilst soaking in my bath I noticed the tiniest of spiders ( legs included he, she, it was about the size of a pinhead ). This spider was making an extremely complicated and highly convoluted web about the size of a saucer. WTF is that all about ? In order for this tiny spider to catch, overcome and consume anything, the prey would have needed to be smaller than a microbe ! Yet the spider had constructed a web that in relation to itself was about the size of South America. What a total waste of time,energy and spider s--t or whatever spiders make their cribs out of.

More worryingly, I had to try very hard not to reach out and terminate the little sod with my big toe** - what's up with that ? - a cold blooded ruthless killer of harmless creatures one day, a crazed psychotic axe carrying serial killer the next ? Do I need help ? Or will it be enough to just continue with the electric shock therapy ?
