Our 2 critters have just turned 1 and Darcy the male has started bringing up fur balls more and more frequently. We have 2 different types of brushes, one is like a conventional hairbrush but with metal bristles and does a great job but the cats cower away as it seems to tug a bit on their fur. The second is like a glove with rubber grips on the underside and you just stroke them with it. They don't have a problem with it and appear to enjoy it but it takes off little to no fur with each stroke.

Is there a better one we should buy? A few photos because, ummm, why not?!

Furminator maybe? Bit pricey but brilliant at removing dead hair, fairly well tolerated as long as you tease through the coat, not tug/pull

Beautiful looking cats.
