Genuinely don't know if this is allowed (if not, very sorry) - but I'm an artist and often do commissions for people of their dogs and other pets.

I do lots of other work too, but requests for 'petraits' are becoming quite frequent which I love!

i had an "alternative" portrait of one of our dogs done by a guy called Dominic Murphy.
he isnt for everyone as his stuff is pretty dark but he was well priced and a good guy to deal with. our piece is 24" x 12" and done in watercolor. i sent him a load of pictures of the dog in a variety of poses and just let him do whatever he wanted to do. he sent a proof image over and that was it (we were happy).
took him about 3 weeks - just shy of £200.
he keeps the image rights so he can make prints later on. we didnt have an issu with that at all but i think he is open to negotiation over this.
i'll put a pic up later on.

Lorraine did an excellent portrait of my cat. Loved it. She has many examples of her work on her website.

Seems a bit of a bargain assuming the amount of time it must take. www.pastelpetportraits.co.uk

That looks like the artist can't do feet/paws...or suggests the feet are deformed so need to be covered.http://www.lararoberts.co.uk/fine-artist-original-...
