Car Ramp for the old pooch
Discussion
My Vizsla is nearly 14 and is happy and healthy (if a little deaf). When we go for a run he used to leap into the back of the car, 4x4, farm UTV etc. With increasing frequency, he'll look at me with eyes that say "help please" and I'll lift him up. Very recently me lifting is giving him some discomfort, so I'm considering something to help the boy. Looking at the ramps etc it seems like very few would be long enough to achieve a sensible height without being too steep. There must be more to them than just longer being better. So any experiences, recommendations and thoughts appreciated.
Vehicles he travels in. Kia Sportage (rarely), Vauxhall Zafira dog wagon (frequently), VW Amarok (daily), Polaris Ranger EV (daily, but always parked somewhere where I could build a permanent something), plus other random tractors etc.

I bought one of these for a pool. Well made, strong easy enough to fold up. I can't imagine this would be too steep on most vehicles listed.

We have one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001RLU772/ref... to get our Springer up the steps into the house. It's not at all heavy at 5kg so it's fairly portable.

We went though all this with one of our dogs and tried a few things. The big problem is persuading the old boy/girl to use the ramp.
We stood one either side, then a sausage is placed in front of dog and slowly moved up the ramp until they are up high enough to "help" into the car. With a 13 stone dog, this is important!OP, I've got one that you're welcome to have.
Very little use and no longer needed now. Can't find a picture of it on the 'net but it folds in half, is made from plastic with a grippy walking surface and is strong enough for an OES.
Worked fine with our Ford Kuga steepness (is that a word?!) wise.
I keep meaning to put it on Gumtree but haven't got round to it!
