Just a question really,
Was driving home the other night saw a cat in the middle of the road which was deceased. So being a cat owner myself I pulled over.

At which another car stopped a man got out moved the cat to the kerb and then just drove off again. I find this very odd behaviour I don't really understand what/why he did this, any ideas ? As I find it a very bizarre thing to do

But we did wrap up said cat and take her to the 24 hour vet so the owners could be contacted and at least know what happened to their pet.

Perhaps he didn't have time to do what you did,but didn't want it squished by passing cars, in order that the next person (you) could do what you did

I would go with this.

Good on you to do this.

If it was my cat(S) I'd be grateful.

Remember my deer thread? I think most folk would've just iced the thing and put in their boot, I'm a veggie so it didn't cross my mind.

In China I guess the cat would've gone the same way.

I had this same issue and did exactly as you said.

However it was a Saturday night following on to a bank holiday Monday.

Moved to the side and then posted on Social media accounts of the local vets and the local lost and found pets page.

By the Tuesday the poor chap had been collected.

Good on all of you; I was (up to recently) a cat owner and over the 18 years she was with us I had to scour the streets to find her more than once. I'd have been heartbroken to find her squashed like roadkill.

Probably just wanted it out of the road so it didn't get splattered all about.
