In my spare room tonight I counted 6 moths dotted around. No idea where they've come from and why I only see them in the spare room. Is there a chance I have a nest somewhere? If so, where is it likely to be? They're only your typical house moth. 6 may not seem a lot but I don't think I've ever seen that many in one place!

In my last house I took up the bedroom carpet to have exposed floorboards... big mistake, it became moth city. Was finding about 5-8 moths every evening in the room, that carried on every single day for a about 4 months. So that adds up to approximately 5-800 moths!

I'm no lepidopterist but I can only assume the eggs had maybe been lying dormant under the floorboards and exposing them to light and air had triggered them into hatching?

I vacced a few of the buggers up over the weekend and they don't seem to be multiplying, so hopefully it's just a one-off

Open your wallet more often, they'll have less chance to breed.
