Goodnight Bella
Discussion
For the second time this year we have said goodbye to another dog. A freak accident took our beautiful puppy away in February and yesterday my wonderful, weird original boxer girl succumbed to Juvenile kidney disease at just over two years.
My little goodbye:
fk you JKD
Bella – Princess TinkerBella, Boo, Boo Bear, boobalicious, The Special One.
She was possibly the strangest little dog I ever met. Always on her terms, cuddles, walks, recall – everything!
She was a game changer, after a break from dogs she came along and blew us away. Our first boxer, she turned my gorgeous, glamourous wife into a more gorgeous, slobber covered crazy boxer lady, a change that utterly suits her! Best buddies with my son, a mutual love affair that was wonderful to watch.
Boo’s world was where she lived, plodding along doing her own thing, oblivious to everything and everyone, the gentlest, sweetest most wonderful little boxer dog.
We knew a while ago that today was coming, you ignore it because it is always in the future, test results holding steady, a while yet was our thought process. But, a sudden down turn and she weakened very quickly, she was just so tired, bloods and other levels through the roof.
It was a question of when, today was the right time.
My wife asked the question “why do we do it”. Because they give so very very much, Boo gave us the most wonderful two years, utterly unique and utterly wonderful, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My heart is broken yet filled with love and memories.
Run free now my little puppy dog, practice your strange little ways over the bridge, Kizzy is waiting xx
