Finally after several months of waiting for the right four legged friend to join our family we have Mabel (name may be changed) an 8 month old female whippet.

She has come from a very loving home but the owner felt she wasn't providing the right home for her.

She has a lovely character but I don't think she has been taught many boundaries etc so a little bit bonkers!! Nothing we can't deal with though.

Both tired after manic play sessions (think Bryn is in for a bit of a shock lol!) this last about 10 mins

After waiting for quite a while it all then happened very quickly!!

We like Mabel but it was my hubby's Nan's name and he is just feeling a bit unsure about how his family will be about it (very close knit family and she was quite the matriarch!!)

You can't help the name she came with; she's used to it avid it would confuse her to change it

You're a Vet professional, trust you wink

I mean, what sounds like Mabel that you could seriously call such a gorgeous pup?

She ignores her name anyway half the time so not sure she would be too concerned at a name change. They get used to new names pretty quick tbh.

It's a moot point now anyway because his Dad is ok with it and I call her Mabes mostly and she seems to respond to that better biggrin
