Our mogs are currently going bananas over a fizzy wine cork tied on a 3m long piece of string. We chuck it away from us and then pull it really quickly, which they utterly love playing with. So much so that they come running when I open the drawer that I keep it in! That attention is usually only reserved for the treat cupboard or tins of tuna.

They also love ping pong balls as we have hard floors downstairs and they bounce for aaaages! Stair ball is a favourite too. Chuck the cork on a string or a soft ball up the stairs and they go crazy running up after it. We have even caught our cream tabby boy doing it himself with his favourite soft glitterball!

Any other 'BestToyEver!' ideas that we can steal from anyone?

Mine both love a "stick of dynamite" catnip toy that they stole from another cat. We didn't buy it - it just turned up one night.

It's getting a bit long in the tooth no, so I'll probably need to get another one soon..

We buy our springer spaniel Tango all sorts of toys that she chews and destroys.

But by far her favorite toy is the cardboard tube from loo rolls!

We're convinced our kitten thinks he's a dog. Plays fetch with his ball and loves to chase sticks.
One of his favourite toys is a rubber grommet I was convinced I'd lost - it's supposed to cap one of my suspensions struts!
