A happy ending biggrin

A dog which spent three years and four Christmas Days in a Cumbria refuge has found a new home.

Always find it very sad to read how long some dogs spend in rescue centres, especially when they appear not to be 'problem' dogs.

Glad this one finally found his forever home.

Me too. Trouble is this dog is:

Black
Large
A lurcher
A bull breed cross

All of which are notoriously difficult to rehome frown

Whereas I love all of those things in a dog smile

Agree with this. 3 of my current 4 are rescues. And the one we lost last year was also a rescue.

I've worked as a volunteer in greyhound and lurcher rescue for a while (hence one of mine is a Lucher...) and even many folk that have made the decision to go for a rescue will still have quite specific ideas about the type/colour/age of dog they want.

Wife and I have decided we will always have rescues as part of our 'pack'.
