1 year old kitten is very docile, slow and wont eat - she can jump but seems so pathetic its so sad - she wont drink either but its only been 5 hours though.
The mrs saw a big bee in the bedroom where the cat was but the bee was alive - surely the bee would be dead ? we cannot see any sting but its possible her nose / mouth is slightly swollen.
She came down to eat, sniffed it but didnt eat she is now in a quiet place but will be picked up and offers no fight or resistance - its like she is spaced out.
Emergency vet says to keep an eye on her ..... were so worried !

Is that vet over the phone?

I'd get it to a vet asap.

Emergency vet couldnt see anything we are going to the usual vet at 8.30 she is no worse overnight and can jump and climb ok but is lethargic and although interested in wet pouch food (her fave) she doesnt eat it - just goes to it, sniffs and looks sad frown

A "big" bee this time of year is almost certainly a queen bumblebee. Unlike honeybees they don't have barbed stings so can sting multiple times. However you really have to provoke them, normally they are pretty docile..

It's honeybees that sting once and die.

Quick update - not stung - she has a sore tongue and the vet said it was a type of cat cold and weighed her, took temp etc. He gave her a shot of something and I took her home she was good as gold with the vet!
I am new to pets but christ I was so worried for the little girl.
