What a whopper ! woohoo

Clive the Cod managed this week to entrap one of the largest English Fisherman ever and could even make the Guinness book of records. Clive caught 218lb Bert Williams from Liverpool and made him "cuddle him".

Clive told the BBC (Broadcasting for Big Cod) that he was just looking for a fat worm when this thing jigged up and down in front of his eyes and after a couple of exploratory nibbles determined the fisherman on the end was a good specimen who was not averse to a pie or two.

"I've been waiting to be held by a sensitive older man wearing waterproof / warm clothing since the age of 6, so to bag Bert was a (wet)dream come true", Clive said.

Clive and Bert are going out for a meal tonight to celebrate the event. "No clues", said Bert, "but I think chips and mushy peas might be on the menu".

Thanks Linkin

It's good to see this thread getting such a warm reception, I'm sure people would have thought you have to post a thread about fluffy kittens, or the gold standard, or a dog with a pale whisker growing out of what might be a worrying boil/lump/North Korea genetically modified canine missile test bed to get a good response.

More fool them !

All the best.
