Lagotto Romagnolo
Discussion
I don't have one but a Dutch vet who lives near me owns one, and I have walked my dog with it on several occasions. The dog is very friendly both to humans and other dogs. He is very willing to play with my American Cocker bh and seems entirely unaggressive. As per most gun dog types, he's very energetic and I think would be destructive if left alone or had not much to do. She( the vet) is training him to search for truffles, not as though there seem to be many in Staffordshire(!) and he obviously has an incredible nose.
Incidentally on holiday in the South of France we went to a truffle farm and saw one working. Incredible.
On my view they're a nice dog and I would have one quite happily. Finding a puppy will not be easy, I suspect and very expensive. I think the vet paid around £2000.
