Lost my Boxer Puppy to a freak choking accident.
Discussion
She was only 4 1/2 months old and whilst out on a walk yesterday got a small piece of a gravy bone (about a third of one) caught far down the back of her throat. Nothing anyone could do.
I am gutted.
Goodnight my gorgeous puppy dog.
You were a bugger at times, but always a delight. I'll miss the 4oclock paws on the bed, the lazy lay in cuddles (you were the best spooner), the 4 paws off the ground welcome home at night (it was hard tonight), the bad lessons you learnt from Boo, the escape tunnel. All the things that made you great, all the things that made you the unique little personality that you were. Too short, I feel robbed, you owe another 8-10 years you little fker!
Watch out Rainbow Bridge she's a coming.
Bounce in and announce your arrival. Say hi to daisy, Ollie, Harper, JD, Tess, and all of the rest of the gang (far to many), they will show you the ropes, watch out for Daisy she was really naughty. Remember your manners, remember that we love you so very, very very much.
Just remember you owe me some more time. Goodnight beautiful.

How dreadful. You have my condolences. Any dog owner who has lost one, myself included, shall know how you feel right now
You need to remember right now that you gave her her happy times, and a crack at life, so pat yourself on the back.
When/ if you feel up to this one is your call, but I would suggest looking to re-home a rescue. There is many a pooch out there needing a chance of a loving owner, you can make the difference to another doggy.
Again, my sincere heart felt condolences.

Have one rescue and another boxer already so not adverse to the re homing.
It is just so bloody unfair, the only reason we have (had ) 3 dogs is because one of the others has terminal kidney disease so Kizzy the puppy came home to ease the pain when our ill dog goes and as company for the last dog if that makes sense.
I do "grief" relatively well but this has utterly knocked me for six.
