Recently acquired a rescue dog and thinking of using this company for some issues, they seem to be a national company with local representatives so just wondering if anyone had used them?

I have no personal experience of them, but I know that they do not have a good reputation on the Dog Rescue forum I frequent. Some examples of topics about them:

And this blog was linked to on there:

Personally, I would do one (or all) of the following:

Ask whether the rescue you adopted your dog from has an 'in-house' or affiliated behaviourist who could advise

Find a local behaviourist who is a member of the APDT http://www.apdt.co.uk/

Join and post on the Training and Behaviour section of this Dog Rescue forum - there are some very experienced people on there:

(Just don't expect to find any Caesar Milan fans on there wink)

Good luck smile

That's because they are a franchise - I've had no experience of them either, but would be worried about a 'trainer' with no previous experience that could be 'qualified' in three weeks - from their website...

"Comprehensive training: A three-week training academy will give you the hands-on learning you need to become a certified trainer"

moorx has given a number of good suggestions

Three weeks!!! There is no way I would trust someone with so little training to help ny dog.

Moorx would be worth asking or your vet may have someone they suggest trying.

Ah just seen Moorx has already posted smile.

And no I don't like Caeser Milan either!

Ok excellent thanks for the heads up, will use a local trainer I sort of know from my last dog. Will have a look at those forums too.

I spoke to them regarding our Greyhound. I was interested to hear if they had ever worked with retired racers. They failed to answer the question three times and nor was I allowed to speak to the actual trainer. I was only allowed to speak to the agent.

We gave up and found someone else.
