My 23 year old daughter was leaving the House tonight and surprised a local Fox crossing the road. Not a small one either. Looked well fed and was about Golden Retriever/Labrador size. Change from the little ones we see by the side of the road. Adds to the Hedgehog's Red Kites and Bats we have round here.

I occasionally see a huge dog fox around the neighbourhood while walking the dog, he's even followed us before now while keeping a safe distance. Probably getting a good feed from all the fast food the chavs chuck all over the floor a few streets away. We've also had a hedgehog in our garden this year for the first time and just this Monday while working from home, I saw a sparrowhawk fly across the garden and came straight towards my office window. It was an amazing sight and made my day!

I think your eyes may be playing tricks! Foxes don't get as big as Labradors. Not even close.

15kg would be a Huge fox and it's not half what the average Labrador weigh.

They're quite slight animals.

I'd be amazed if a fox could get that big!

We've been feeding a family of foxes for the past 20 years and the biggest one we've seen was probably marginally bigger than our male cat

Oddly we did see a black fox quite a number of times a few years ago but kept it very quiet

Probably just a pup. This time of year the adults tend to be cow sized.

Could have been one of those chocolate brown ones or maybe a wolf. smile

We have Palisade fencing around the yard at work, I once saw an adult fox walk straight through the gap barely pausing....

We have had quite a few round us, varied in size from not much bigger than a cat to small Labrador, and even had a Badger on our front lawn a couple of months ago.
