Feed from open bag?

We ordered a bag of Acana online which had a split at the side along the seam, about 1 inch long.

Got a replacement, but I don't like seeing a big (13kg) bag go to waste...

Would you still use it? It's well within the expiry date and smells ok, but potentially could have been exposed to air since the factory and (if you believe them) Acana has less preservatives than most dry dog food.

I'd suggest mixing a small amount with their normal feed and see if there is any difference in their poo. If none, increase the amounts you mix and then realise it's fine to give to them
