Anyone else have a cat/cats that like to sit out in the rain?

Both of Mrs Saleens like to just sit out on the patio in the rain (not heavy rain) or will stay out mooching about when it is raining, they then like nothing better than to come indoors and jump on either of our laps, they don't mind being towel dried so that makes life better.

Yes. Two of three cats will quite happily head out the door in the rain and will sit on the lawn or picnic table and get wet. Never had a cat before these that would ask to go out, see it was pouring with rain, and just go out. All previous cats have sat there demanding that I stop this nasty weather.....Then when I fail in my servitude, they skulk off..

Piglet is rarely happier than when it's absolutely gopping outside, and then she can come in and wipe her muddy feet all over the bed.

My kittens have started to bring things in - started with leaves, and when it was raining yesterday, worms. About 10 worms between them.

9.25 of the worms got put back outside...

So I'm fairly certain they're relatively okay with rain at this moment in time - although they may learn that the outside isn't quite so much fun when it's raining, and indoors is a much nicer prospect.

One of mine is oblivious to the weather. Comes in from a weather apocalypse. Eats biscuits. Goes out again. The other stays in and does bugger all.

What I want to know is why, when a cat comes charging in with muddy feet and runs upstairs, the mud stays on its feet until it gets onto my bed.

Cat physics biggrin

You see cats are very light on their feet (not that you'd beleive that if you heard our (tiny!) Beauty coming down the stairs - she sounds like a herd of elephants!), so the mud doesn't actually touch the floor until they stop to clean

Kitty 1 (rip) hated the rain, the faintest wiff would hide inside for days.

Kitty 2 loves it, not heavy rain, but doesn't seem fazed by rain and will still go out.

Ours tend not to go out if it's raining but if it starts when they are out they don't come back in they just appear drenched.

One of ours will knock on the front door when he is too lazy to walk round to the back door and use the flap!

Yep, got woken up 3 times last night by a soaking wet cat batting my face demanding to be towel dried grumpy. Odd thing is he won't do it in the daylight.

We've got two Siberians and a moggy. Moggy stays in when it rains looking utterly pi$$ed off. Siberians on the other hand seem to love it and go out hunting every time it rains. Followed by muddy paws, dead leaves, and half mice being dragged back into the house to be deposited in random places.
