Moved out for 3 months - what to do with our cat?
Discussion
We have moved out for 3/4 months while our building work is completed and are debating what to do about our cat. She has little access to the house as it has to be secured by an internal door with no cat flap (kitchen has been knocked through). Her cat bed and bowls are rather sadly during out exposed in the kitchen shell.
The opinion of the vet is that she should be fine left as she is more of a roamer than a house cat. OH is not happy about leaving her exposed to the elements and in a house that is being ripped apart.
What are the implications of moving her over with us into our rented place?

If you can take it with you, take it with you. I'd hate the idea of my cat stuck outside an empty house for months wondering where the heck its owners were and why it had been abandoned in a house that is begin ripped apart. You haven't stayed - why should the cat?
I couldn't agree more, and furthermore would add, what if puss were to become ill or be injured during your absence? What if there were to be a cold snap and puss suffered outside with no shelter - would you ever forgive yourself?
Oh, you would.
Vet wants shooting, by the way.
