And no, I don't mean mobile phones!

My parents' labrador bh Sally has been staying with us over the last couple of weeks. I walk her, along with our two spaniels through a local forest which is currently abundant with blackberries. She is a typical labrador and will eat absolutely anything! She insists on eating blackberries and I was wondering whether or not this is a problem - in particular the seeds and woody bits.

Nope - our land has loads of blackberries in the hedges and three out of our four dogs spend their entire walks 'grazing' at this time of year laugh

I don't have a dog but if I did, I wouldn't let it get near the blackberries, as I'd be eating the best ones myself.

As is well known you don't pick the low down ones for yourself as dogs may have piddled on them so it's okay wink

Our previous lab loved scrumping apples from the tree too. It didn't half make him really flatulant and the smell ... yuck

Should be fine, possibly some diarrhoea if they eat lots but not aware of any other issues.

Thank You guys. She can carry on Helping herself to the fruits of the forest then. It seems as though they might actually be good for her too clap

So did my dog, and when she learned to jump up for the low hanging apples she was in her element, used to run round the garden to get some speed up. Then sat and ate the apples nibbling with her front teeth, loved 'em.
