Beany is currently at the vets with a suspected stomach blockage (the vet bill is already eye watering...) and we suspect it's due to her ingesting weed proof membrane in the garden.

The little darling has taken to digging at the grand age of 7.5. She's never been a digger up until a couple of months ago. Now she's making a bid for Australia (and quite proficient she is too- the hole behind the plant pot must be a foot deep)

Do any of your clever animal types know what would possess her to start digging with such passion? She must be at it dos a few hours a day now.

We just want her home now. Preferably before the bill gets much higher.... We're spending the afternoon ripping the garden to shreds to make sure it's 100% safe for her (hopeful) return.

Grumbling pancreatitis causing low grade stomach pain is possible. Your vets should do tests to rule out pancreatitis.
I am assuming Beanie is a dog.

I hope they get some answers soon, wishing speedy recoveey for you four legged friend.

Any other behaviour changes and poss need to consider mri esp if all other blood results are ok,

Oops!! Good point, sort of, currently at a Wedding long day and a couple drinks, saw name Beanie, thought that was what I read in the title.

Would still be suspicious of grumbling abdominal pain (or pain of some sort) causing the digging but can probably rule out the mri idea.

She's Coco - or coco bean or beanie to her friends wink

Her tummy is nice and soft but she's not a happy rabbit. Blood glucose was 18 this afternoon.

I was a bit worried we had done something at home to make her anxious or sad and it is causing her to dig (and eat stuff she shouldn't)

Thanks Bex- get back to the wine now wink
