I'm getting right fed up with these sods.

I found 4 poo bags by a style leading to a field I use, been there a couple of days, so collected them. 2 more further on in the walk, so wound up carrying 6 around with me until I found a bin. Not an unusual day.

I'd rather the st was left to decompose than gathering it up in a bag then dumping it. Gives dog walkers a bad name.

Other than this I see very little litter.

I don't quite know what to do, if it's left it seems to encourage more bag dumping.

It is quite annoying as like you say they'd be better off not bagging it at all and letting the rain deal with it frown

If its persistent I'd leave a note I suppose, tell them either get your bags taken away (preferable) of if you want to be an arse at least take the least worst option and don't bag them at all.

I thought about taking photos and posting them on streetlife, hoping to shame the perpetrators. But that just seems petty, I don't suppose st dumpers feel shame anyway.

There are a couple of dog walkers near me who never pick up after their dog. One of them is a Jack Russel and lets face it they don't poo much. Its not really a hardship to pick up their deposits. I pick up everything or greyhound does and he sts a lot.

I have been tempted to pick up the JR's deposits and leave them on the persons doorstep.

We have a dog exercise area where I live ( enclosed area specifically for dogs with 2 poo bins either side of the park) and I often do a 'poo swoop' and pick up after the other dogs.
I think in the summer holidays it's the children that do the poo bag dumping/ not picking up.

I pulled about a dozen bags out of a hedge a while ago & left them In a pile in the middle of the track, that seemed to work for a while.

Somebody else stuck labels on the bags asking WHY? Which I thought was a novel, if ultimately pointless, idea.

I suspect most people who bag only do it if they're being watched then want shot of it ASAP.

I find the parks okay, it's the footpaths across the fields where the problems lie.

There's a little cut through path from the river to a residential area near me which is bad for this.

At this time of year the path is very narrow due to the fast growing nettles, but still the path is chocca with dumped full bags.

Worst of all, the poo bin is 10m (Yes ten) away once you get to the houses.

Who are the people that do this? And why?

Near me, people put the mess into a bag and then tie the bag on the branch of a tree, so that there are bags of mess either side of a path through the woods!

Why does no one ever come on to a forum and say 'yes, I do this and I think it's a good idea', so that we can discuss it with them.

Eye level poo. I'm only an ordinary bloke but I would quite happily cull these people.

I sometimes do this meaning to pick up on the way back but then take a different route.

However, once a week I take a tesco carrier out on a short walk and pick up/off anyleft round and I see others doing this. There are a few good people but many more that don't. I also pick up litter on these runs. I'm turning into my dad. It's just public spirited. I like to keep the local walks tidy.

Dumped poo bags just encourage others, please take it with you.

Well done for the litter pick though. smile

I've seen a few people put them in trees which I assume is to pick up later.

Whilst them being left annoys me, not picking up at all annoys me far more, especially when they are in the middle of the only footpath on a route.

"Hellfruit" is what we call the bags of st tied to trees. No excuse, you've done the grim bit.....I have two dogs, so a lot of poo, but see no excuse for not binning it. I believe the forestry commission have a " flick it" policy where if you are in the wilds you flick it under a bush, out of eyesight / footfall so it decomposes, rather than sweating!

I've got a working cocker that sts for England. I pick up far more than he does. Biggest haul was horrible. Luckily I had 2 carriers. Usually do when running. I must look like a nutter carrying a bag a' ste!

Yes, why do people do this? You've gone to all the trouble of bagging it why spend time hanging it in a tree when you can take it home and bin it?

The latest for me was somebody dropping the bagged contents in a small hole left by a broken fence post. Why???

The best bit is that bags huNg from trees get ripped in the wind & the contents end up on the ground anyway Leaving a plastic bag blowing around.

Yup, I don't get these scumbags either. Why do they bag it at all? I assume it's to be seen by others to do so and then, when the coast is clear, they dump them!

This irritates me and also not picking it up at all. There is alot of dogs in my area and you cant walk 10ft without seeing a turd on the floor. Its normally the wooded areas or cut through paths that are littered with turds in bags. Question is how can it be policed?
